Community Development Support Expenditure (CDSE) Grant Scheme 2009

The CDSE Scheme is a community development funding program sponsored by local clubs and administered by Parramatta Council. This scheme enables registered clubs with an annual gaming machine revenue exceeding $1 million to apply 1.5% of their gaming machine revenue to specific community development and support projects.

Participating Clubs in the Parramatta area are:

  • Carlingford Bowling Club;
  • Dundas Sports & Recreation Club;
  • The Epping Club;
  • Granville RSL Sub-Branch Ltd;
  • Guilford Bowling Club;
  • Northmead Bowling, Recreation and Sporting Club;
  • Parramatta Leagues Club Ltd;
  • Parramatta RSL Club Ltd;
  • Rosehill Bowling & Recreation Club Ltd;
  • Rydalmere Central Bowling Club Ltd;
  • Tingha Club;
  • Toongabbie Sports & Bowling Club and Workers Parramatta.

The important contribution made by the clubs enables funding for a large range of valuable projects in the Parramatta community.

Each year CDSE Local Committee is established to identify local priorities and needs for Category 1, and to make recommendations to local clubs. Council will be coordinating this Scheme in the Parramatta LGA for expenditure defined as 'Category 1' covering the areas of: Community Welfare and Social Services; Community Development; Community Health Services And Employment Assistance Activities. Applications for other forms of assistance (Category 2 grants), will be dealt with directly by local clubs.
