Community Development Support Expenditure Scheme (CDSE) 2008 – Successful Applicants
This year over 121 applications were received by the CDSE
Grants Scheme for the Parramatta LGA. The applications requested over $1.1 million in funding. 72 applicants were successful in obtaining grants totalling over $550,000. PCC administered the CDSE scheme, and in partnership with the Department of Community Services (DoCS) and Western Sydney Community Forum (WSCF) determined priority need areas for the Parramatta LGA. Applications were assessed against these priorities, and recommendations presented to the clubs. The clubs then made decisions on which projects would receive funding under the scheme.
On Monday 17th August, a presentation ceremony at The Epping Club was held to acknowledge the 2009 recipients of the CDSE Grants. The Lord Mayor, Councillor Tony Issa OAM, was in attendance to congratulate the successful applicants. Over 100 people attended the ceremony to receive their cheques from representatives of the participating local Clubs. A big thank you is extended to the following Clubs for their significant contribution to the local community:
- Dundas Sports & Recreation Club
- The Epping Club
- Granville RSL Sub-Branch Ltd
- Guilford Bowling Club
- Northmead Bowling Recreation and Sporting Club
- Parramatta Leagues Club Ltd
- Toongabbie Sports & Bowling Club; and
