Celebrate Your Place – RichillPark – 21 October 2006

This event was an opportunity for the community of Wentworthville to comment on the future plans for Parramatta which were on public display throughout October 2006.

The family fun day, Celebrate Your Place proved to be a great success with local residents. Approximately 300 people enjoyed a fun filled day. Children and families in the area especially enjoyed the jumping castle and face painting while their parents and other locals relaxed listening to the music and watching the African dancing. A local youth band, Zygotic, played some original numbers and of course, the free BBQ was a major attraction.

Fairs, festivals, street parties, performances, forums, exhibitions and all kinds of community events are important ways we come together in our communities to build community spirit and connections with other locals.

Over the coming months, we will be building a guide to the many regular community events throughout your area, and also promoting any upcoming special community celebrations or other activities.
