Social entrepreneurs

We recognise that the establishment of successful social enterprises is largely dependent on the vision, passion, drive and commitment of the social entrepreneurs who develop and grow them.

We believe that there are many potential social entrepreneurs in our communities and seek to identify and support them through assisting with developing their skills and social enterprise concepts.

To do this we work in partnership with a range of local organisations to raise awareness about:

• how community leaders and members can become social entrepreneurs
• what social enterprise is
• how it can benefit communities
• what support is available to those interested in going down this path

If you are involved with a community or group, either in a work or personal capacity, that you think may be interested in learning more about social enterprise please contact Joanne McNeill to discuss what PCC can offer and how we can tailor material so that it is appropriate to your particular community.

As the program develops we will be looking to more formally link with existing community leadership programs with aims compatible with those described above. If you are aware of a community leadership (or similar) program that may be interested in this, please contact Joanne McNeill.
