Collections

The Parramatta City Library Network has an extensive array of collections.

Books

Visitors to the library can choose from some 280,000 books. Borrow fiction, non-fiction, large print, paperbacks, easies/picture books, junior easy readers.

Music, CD-ROMs, Talking Books, Videos and DVDs

Visitors to the library can choose from some 31,000 non-book items. Borrow music CDs, CD-ROMs plus videos and DVDs featuring movie classics, documentaries, travel and children's programs.

Magazines

A wide variety of magazines on topics such as fashion, entertainment, business, finance, gardening, food, teenagers, computers and cooking.

Community Languages

An outstanding collection of Arabic, Chinese, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Korean, Turkish, and Vietnamese language books and non-books.

Basic English and Literacy

Visitors to the library can borrow book and non-book Basic English and literacy items.

Local History

Books, photographs, newspapers and online resources relating to the history of Parramatta and its surrounding region.

Newspapers

A wide variety of newspapers in English and community languages are available for use in the library.

HSC collection

Extensive collection of HSC texts, study guides and non-book items to assist HSC students .

Reference and Special Collections

Special collections relating to legal information (LIAC), drug information (DI@YLL), and Australian statistics.
