Multicultural Community
Community Language Collections
The Library offers collections of community language materials, both adult and junior, in 8 different languages. These materials consist of books, DVDs, VCDs, videos, audio tapes and CD ROMs and CDs. The Library also offers a collection of music from around the world.
Languages: Arabic, Hindi, Korean Turkish, Italian, Vietnamese, Greek, Chinese (traditional and simplified script)
The library also holds a range of other community language collections which are on loan from the State Library of New South Wales and are periodically rotated. If the library does not hold a collection in your language you may request for it to be borrowed free of charge. To find out more information about languages available please contact the library.
Events and programs for the Cultural and Linguistic Diversity Community
The library also holds culture events, talks and educational programme, please check the information board inside the library.
Basic English Collection
If you are working towards improving your English skills then we have a collection of books, audio cassette/CD kits and CD ROM’s available for members of the community whose first language is not English.
