Outreach Library Service
Operated by Parramatta City Council the Outreach Library service is free to residents of the Parramatta Local Government Area. The Housebound Readers’ Service is offered to residents who cannot go to the library due to disability, illness or have limited mobility. The Outreach Service is available to individuals and nursing homes/retirement villages, subject to eligibility.

Seniors’ Programs @ Your Library
- Computer Help Sessions – Held every Friday from 10am – 12pm these sessions are free and are designed to help seniors build their confidence with computer technology with the assistance of a trained volunteer. No bookings are required.
- Retirement Talks – Dealing with a range of retirement issues these talks are held throughout the year. For more information about when the next retirement talk will be held please contact the library.
Services for people with disabilities @ Your Library
- Large print books - collections of large print books are available for adult and younger readers. The collections are shelved separately and include a range of both fiction and non-fiction titles.
- Talking books - collections of books on tape and compact disc (talking books) are available for adult and younger readers. The collections include a range of fiction and non-fiction titles.
