Skate park

kids on skateboards in a parkParramatta Skate Park is located in James Ruse Reserve, near the corner of Parkes and Harris Streets in Harris Park. This facility is within walking distance of the Parramatta railway station and is popular with local BMX, inline and skateboard riders.

In 2000, the street-style section was opened and is designed for beginners and intermediate level skaters. It includes half pipes, funbox and grind rails. A 9ft deep ‘bowl’ extension was opened in 2005 and is suitable for intermediate and advanced level riders.

On hot days there is a bubbler for water at the adjacent sporting fields, with plenty of nearby trees providing shade.
