The Dining Guide provides a comprehensive listing of cafes, restaurants, bars and bistros. It is aimed at a market consisting of residents, workers, business visitors and tourists and is designed to drive customers into our food and beverage sector. It has a focus on restaurants because they provide the ‘dining’ experience Parramatta stakes its reputation on and are the main attraction for diners. Café, bars and other small food outlets are included as supplementary choices.
Venues and precincts that have high-visitor appeal, dining amenity, accessibility, media profile and positive recognition within the surrounding community are emphasised through text and photography because they have a unique ability to bring patrons into Parramatta’s economy and this has flow on effects for neighbouring businesses.
Parramatta’s CBD is a focal point for dining but the Dining Guide also promotes neighbourhoods across the Local Government Area. Some criteria apply, as listed below.
