Parramatta Local Environment Plan (LEP)

This document has been complied by Parramatta City Council to reflect the Parramatta Local Environmental Plan 2001 as published by the NSW Government Gazette. This is a legally binding document.

The Parramatta LEP 2001 provides the planning objectives applying to parcels of land. The document outlines which types of development legally require Development Consent to be granted by Council including any stipulated objectives and controls cover zoning, height, floor space ratios, landscaping, overshadowing, and heritage and conservation areas.

Parramatta LEP 2001 is associated with the Parramatta Development Control Plan 2005 & 2001, which provide guidelines on detailed aspects of development.

City Centre Local Environmental Plan

The LEP is a statutory planning framework that establishes zoning, heights, floor space ratios and the main provisions for development across the city centre. The Parramatta City Centre LEP 2007 is based on the new standard instrument (LEP's) order that now applies to all councils in NSW.
