City Centre Development Control Plan
The DCP outlines the more detailed planning provisions for the built form such as pedestrian amenity, access and environmental management for future development in the city centre. It establishes controls for building setbacks, awnings and seperations between buildings in order to take advantage of the winter sun.

This document describes a vision for the regional city, provides information on the history and development context and includes an action plan to facilitate the city centre's growth. It sets a strategic framework for the city centre to grow into a prosperous, vibrant and attractive city.

City Centre Civic Improvement Plan
This document establishes the importance of the public domain in terms of design principles for paving, parks, signage, lighting and the improvement of key public places. The document also lists the city centre projects that Council would like to undertake based on funds levied from individual developments.
Sydney Regional Environment Plan No.28 - Parramatta (SREP)
Regional Environmental Plans (REPs) cover issues such as urban growth, commercial centres, extractive industries, recreational needs, rural lands, and heritage and conservation. REPs are made under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and provide the framework for detailed local planning by councils. All REPs are exhibited in draft form for public comment, and all submissions are considered before a final plan is gazetted and becomes legal.

State Environmental Planning Policies (SEPPs) deal with issues significant to the state and people of New South Wales. They are made by the NSW Minister for Planning and may be exhibited in draft form for public comment before being gazetted as a legal document.
