Recycling

Recycling Bin, 240L, Yellow lid, Fortnightly

What is recycling?

Recycling means making new products from old ones! We can call this ‘closing the loop’ as these new products are then purchased again, recycled and purchased again. This process saves precious natural resources and has a real environmental benefit.

What can be recycled?

Do Recycle All Plastic Bottles and ContainersDo Recycle Paper and MagazinesDo Recycle Milk and Juice CartonsDo Recycle Cardboard, Cereal Boxes and Egg ContainersDo Recycle Glass Bottles and JarsDo Recylce Steel, Aerosol and Aluminium Cans

Please don’t place the following in your recycling bin:

Dont Recycle Plastic BagsDon't Recycle NappiesDon't Recycle General Household RubbishDon't Recycle Garden Organics (these go into the Garden Organic Bin) Don't Recycle Food ScrapsDon't Recylce Building and Construction Waste
These items contaminate acceptable recyclables and may result in a whole truck load of recycling being disposed of to landfill rather than being processed.
