Service request types

Service request types reflect the range of services Council provides. Select the Service request type that best describes your request. If you are not sure which one to select, use the Default Service Request. Refer to service request type list below for explanations on the different request types.

Please make sure you provide as much information as possible. If you do not provide sufficient information, Council may be unable to process your request.

Staff Complaints should not be entered using this system, please use the Contact Us form on Council’s website at www.parracity.nsw.gov.au to make staff complaints. If you do not have internet access Staff Complaints can be made in writing at PO Box 32 Parramatta NSW 2124 or phoned through to Councils Customer Contact Centre on 02 9806 5050.

Animal Management

Enquiries or requests relating to the control of animals, eg animals loose, barking dogs, animal micro chipping, animal noise, animals causing damage, animal companion information, animal pickup & surrender and vicious or attacking animals.

Community Services

Enquiries or requests relating to arts, disability access & equity, services for the aged or Multi-Cultural services as well as other similar Council managed services provided for the community.

Council Properties Management

Enquiries or requests for service on Council buildings and facilities (except parks and ovals) including requests for new buildings or assets, building maintenance, vandalism, electrical fault maintenance or mowing maintenance on Council buildings and facilities.

Default Service Request

Use this type if you are not sure of the classification of your request.

Development & Bldg Controls

Enquiries or requests about regulations, building and development applications, dangerous or dilapidated buildings, unauthorised or illegal land use, fire safety or illegal tree removal.

Drainage

Enquiries or requests about drainage, includes blocked drainage and drainage maintenance, drainage pits, drainage improvements and defective or missing drainage.

Environmental Management

Enquiries or requests about the local environment, includes odour complaints, noxious weeds, noise complaints overgrown private land and Pollution reports.

 

Information Management

Enquiries or requests for general information, includes heritage issues, privacy policies, street numbering and boundary changes.

Land Use and Planning

Enquiries or requests relating to planning and use of land, includes zoning and rezoning, suburb or boundary changes, transport planning, urban design residential planning information and town Planning information.

Laws and Enforcement

Enquiries or requests relating to Council’s regulatory role – notifying, prosecuting and applying penalties, includes abandoned vehicles, parking matters, obstruction, dangerous trees on private land, illegal dumping and other prohibited activities.

Parks and Reserves

Enquiries and requests regarding Council’s parks and reserves, includes Parks maintenance, Council tree investigation, Vandalism of parks, play equipment maintenance and general parks information.

Public Health

Enquiries or requests relating to food safety incidents and information, food shop hygiene, pools & spas and unsafe and unhealthy premises.

Roads & Related infrastructure

Enquiries and requests relating to roads and footpaths, includes kerb and guttering maintenance, potholes, footpath repair, street tree maintenance, bus shelter maintenance, barricade issues, road obstruction , street lighting, road repair or request for new road or road related asset.

Traffic and Transport

Enquiries or requests relating to traffic management, includes line marking, bus stop maintenance, parking limits, parking meters, traffic calming requests, new sign requests, sign maintenance, traffic investigations and road safety programs or issues.

Waste Management

Enquiries or requests relating to waste general information, includes missing or damaged bins, missed waste service pickups, rubbish removal, cleaning of public amenities, sharps removals, pick up of dead animals, street sweeping or trade waste issues.

Waterways Infrastructure

Enquiries or requests relating to obstructions in waterways.
