Local Australians Honoured

An inspirational 13-year-old young paralympian, a charity volunteer who has raised over $50,000, and a community organisation that has helped over 20,000 migrants were among those honoured today with Australia Day Awards as part of Parramatta City Council’s Australia Day celebrations.

Also recognised for their outstanding contribution to the community were a Harris Park Community Centre volunteer and the President of a voluntary group that has helped to improve elderly residents’ lives through encouraging them to use information technology. more...
