Community Capacity Building
Parramatta City Council’s Community Capacity Building team works with residents, community organisations and other units of Council to build strong and resilient communities.
We believe that strong communities are:
- Trusting
- Connected
- Engaged
- Empowered
- Creative users of resources
- Respectful of differences
- Innovative
- Made up of people who work together and support each other.
The things we do to build strong and resilient communities are:
demonstrate innovation; advocacy; organisational and professional development for community organisations; support and resource networks; provide information; initiate, build and support partnerships and increase resources (social, environmental (physical infrastructure) and economic).
The team can be contacted at ccb@parracity.nsw.gov.au or by calling 02 9806 5138.
