Parramatta City Council Community Grants - Annual Program
Parramatta City Council’s Community Grants Program provides an annual funding opportunity for the Parramatta Local Government Area. The grants program supports local not-for-profit community-based groups, organisations, sport clubs and services. Through the community grants program Council supports a wide range of services and activities that contribute to the strategic objectives and destination statements of the Parramatta Twenty25 strategy.
2011 Winners
The 2011 Parramatta City Council Community Grants were awarded in June 2011 and projects are being delivered. You can see who was successful in the 2011 grant round.The next round of annual funding is now open from 19 September 2011, closing at 4pm 2 December 2011. Council is now inviting applications from eligible organisations. Small grant applications (up to $1,000) are open year round and close quarterly.
There are seven separate categories of funding each with its own objectives and specific form. All potential applicants are encouraged to read the Guidelines, which provides you with the information you need to ensure that you find the category that best applies to the work you wish to do in the community and that you apply by the appropriate and required process.
Before you write your application, you are encouraged to have already planned your project and read these guidelines thoroughly. Parramatta City Council makes a total of $400,000 available through its Community Grants program. In the 2012 Community Grants Program this total amount will be divided into the following categories:

Parramatta City Council Arts Fellowship Fund
Parramatta City Council’s Community Grants Program also supports local artists to develop their professional practice through the Arts Fellowship category. In 2012, the Parramatta Artists Studios (PAS) will be coordinating the Parramatta Arts Fellowship
The Parramatta Arts Fellowship Fund aims to support the creative development of new work and/or professional development by Parramatta artists. The focus of this grant is on the all art forms which includes but is not limited to painting, music, sculpture, dance, literature, theatre, new media and film.
The closing date for applications is 4pm, Friday 13 April 2012.

Parramatta City Council Quarterly Small Grants Program
This Small Grants category is designed to assist voluntary and staffed not-for-profit incorporated organisation to fund one-off costs that will directly facilitate the progression of their capacity building activities, projects or programs through small allocations of funding. The funding has to be linked to an existing activity or project or program. It can not be for a project in itself. The funding cap is $1000 and a total of $20,000 is available across the year.
Although operated quarterly, grants from this fund are only available to each voluntary and staffed not-for-profit incorporated organisation once per financial year. Submissions can be made at any time of the year and will be allocated quarterly based on the round dates below:
