Waste and Recycling
Council works closely with our waste and recycling contractor Cleanaway Municipal Services to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. In Parramatta, residents are provided with a three (3) bin collection system together with four (4) annual area kerb side bulk clean ups.
Council recognises that Government, business and the community need to work together to improve the way we manage our waste stream.

For more information on your domestic waste service, contact Council’s waste hotline on 9806 5544. The hotline can also be used to lodge a stolen bin, missed service or additional bin request.
Know Your Waste and Win!
Parramatta City Council in partnership with its waste and recycling contractor, Cleanaway are embarking on an ambitious resident engagement and education strategy that aims to reduce contamination of the recyclables service and maximise recyclables recovered. The ‘kNOw Your Waste and Win’ bin tagging project will reward households that are found to recycle correctly. The project will be widely advertised in the LGA prior to commencement through Council rates notices and on Council’s website and in local newspapers, encouraging residents to do the right thing with their recycling bin for their chance to win great monthly prizes.
