Gumnuts

Our very popular program for 3 – 4 year olds and carers. Each month there is a new theme with stories, craft and more. Designed to promote learning, creativity and social skills for preschoolers. One Wednesday per month. $3 per child + adult carer

School holiday activities

Heritage Centre school holiday activities are a chance for children and young people to imagine, experience, create and have fun. Craft, games, new skills and new friends for ages 5 – 11 years+.
Taste of Craft

Taste of Craft

Creative workshops for adult beginners conducted by artists and craftspeople. Try your hand at a new craft skill to see if you like it. Past workshops have included scrapbooking, beaded jewellery, papercrafts and felting. Fee includes all materials and light refreshments.

Celebrating special weeks and events

Workshops, talks and demonstrations to celebrate special weeks and events such as the National Trust Heritage Festival, History Week, Adult Learner's Week and Seniors Week.

Social groups & clubs

For your next social club or group outing, book an informative guided tour of the Heritage Centre. Your guided will show your artefacts and share stories of the people and places that make Parramatta fascinating. Guided tours are available Monday – Friday, bookings are essential.

Educational Tours and Activities

Learning Experiences K – 6, provides activities that link directly to the Human Society & Its Environment syllabus. The exhibition, Parramatta: People & Place, is the ideal starting point for a secondary class site study. TAFE, university and LOTE groups are catered for with programs tailored to meet the needs and learning outcomes of your group.
