Local Studies & Family History Library
Open 10am - 5pm 7 days a week. Closed public holidays and from Christmas Day to the New Year. If visiting over the Christmas/New Year period please call to check opening hours.
Our library has extensive collections of multi-media to help you research your ancestry, house history and the local area. Maps and newspapers provide useful information and a glimpse into the past. The library also holds a large collection of photographs dating from 1860 and includes images of historic buildings, churches, and street scenes in Parramatta and surrounding districts.
Selected images from our picture and map collections are available for purchase.
We have a range of books to assist beginner genealogists learn how to conduct and organise their research. Qualified staff and volunteers are available to assist you with your family and local history research.
Workshops, talks and displays are held throughout the year.
