Residents’ Parking Scheme
Council has introduced a permit parking scheme to assist residents and their visitors in certain areas of North Parramatta, Harris Park, Granville, Westmead, Northmead and Parramatta South.
Eligible residents are entitled to 2 resident parking permits and 1 visitor parking permit per household.
A resident or resident’s visitors parking permit exempts the vehicle that dispays the permit from time limit restrictions and parking charges shown on the signs. This only applies if the vehicle is parked in the designated area that is shown on the parking permit.
Applications
Applications for resident or resident’s visitors parking permits can be made by completing the RP Residents Parking Permit Application form (pdf 125Kb) or the VP Residents Visitors Parking Permit Application form (pdf 75Kb) and taking it in person with the required supporting documents as detailed in the application from, to Council’s offices at 30 Darcy Street, Parramatta between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Cost of Permit
- $11.05 for a resident parking permit
- $11.05 for a resident’s visitors parking permit
Permit Validity
Permits are valid for one financial year from 1 July to 30 June and must be renewed each year prior to the expiry date displayed on the permit. Refunds of any kind are not available once a permit has been issued. Residents parking permit holders are also not entitled to pro-rata discounts.
Replacement Permit
Any replacement permits required due to damage or loss of original permit will be provided upon making a statutory declaration and a payment of a fee 50% of the original full fee plus GST. If possible, the original permit must be returned to council.
