Management Plan 2008/09 Consultation
The Management Plan survey for 2008 is the fourth survey to be completed in as many years. This survey has played a major role in understanding the level of satisfaction with Council services, the infrastructure that Council maintains and additional projects that are required in the community. Information from this survey along with other information is used by Councillors in preparing future Management Plans aswell as being used to indicated where improvements to our operations and infrastrucutre need to be.
Development Consultation 2008

The Residents' Panel team is working with the Parramatta City Council development team to further explore development applicant satisfaction. Over the past three years development management has utilised this information to modify the service provision focusing on providing better servicing.
eServices
Parramatta City Council has recently launched various eServices applications to help residents and customers interact with Council via the web. The services launched are those which residents and customers predominantly contact Council for. It is envisaged that this web apporach will provide additional 24 hour service avenues for all whilst also helping to save Council budget on additional human resources.
Residents Panel Satisfaction Survey
The Residents' Panel team are about to invite all panel members to participate in the second panel satisfaction survey. This survey will better help the Residents' Panel team understand how satisfied members are with their experience of being part of the Panel. This survey will cover Residents Panel communications, Resident Panel events, What Resident Panel members think of the different consultation methods and if we are meeting expectations.
Heritage Property Fund Research
Conservation of heritage listed properties is important as it allows a tangible link to our past and our journey. Parramatta City Council has a local heritage fund which provides financial assistance through the form of a rebate* for any owner who completes heritage based work on their heritage listed property (that is within the Parramatta LGA).
Ferry Fight Research
In October 2007, the Special Commission Inquiry into the Sydney Ferries Corporation, referred to as the Walker Report, recommended that the RiverCat service from Circular Quay to Parramatta be discontinued at Rydalmere. Parramatta City Council is of the opinion that we need to expand the service not cut it back.
To prove this point Parramatta City Council is conducting research into the Parramatta RiverCat focusing on regular, infrequent and potential users.s
Website Minor Consultation
The Residents Panel Team will be conducting a consultation on the redeveloped Parramatta City Council website. We are particularly interested in what sections of the Community use the internet & Councils website, and Community opinion on the redeveloped Council website in comparison to the previous site.
