Road Closures for Construction Works
A Temporary Road Occupancy Permit is required when undertaking any construction or maintenance work (except work for a Works Zone or Hoarding) on a footpath or local road in the Parramatta Local Government Area (except on roads controlled by the Roads and Traffic Authority).
Street Parties and Special Events
Street Parties and Special Events requiring road closures (full or partial) require the approval of the Parramatta Traffic Committee.
Waste Container or Shipping Container on a Public Road
A Waste Container permit is required for locating a Building Waste Container or a Shipping Container on a footpath or local road in the Parramatta Local Government Area (except on roads controlled by the Roads and Traffic Authority).
Work Zones
Parramatta City Council is responsible for the approval of Works Zones in the Parramatta Local Government area (LGA).
Works Zones are provided to facilitate the efficient operation of construction projects with minimal impact on traffic and pedestrian safety and loss of on-street parking during the construction works.
