Liveable City
Parramatta CBD has the capacity to provide education, employment and entertainment opportunities to the growing population that live and work in Parramatta CBD. The key however is to retain the young and skilled workforce in the area. Parramatta needs to build social infrastructure that celebrates the cultural diversity of the population and provide opportunities to express creativity and innovation.
Parramatta hosts a number of major events that activate the city centre and attract visitation to the area. Parramatta City council has developed a number of strategy’s that will help re-shape the city streets, including the development of Civic Place that will provide better retail services, activating the riverbank and parkland areas and supporting young and upcoming artists and entrepreneurs.
