Cooling Towers – Microbial Control
Council assists in the prevention of diseases such as Legionnaires' disease by monitoring the management of water cooling systems such as cooling towers.
Council ensures that cooling towers being managed and serviced appropriately is an effective method to reduce the potential threat of Legionnaires' disease.
In June 2004 NSW Health updated the Code of Practice for the Control of Legionnaires' Disease. This document outlines the requirements for the control of Legionnaires' disease.
If your premises had a Cooling Tower and it has not been notified to Council you must ensure it is registered by contacting Council on:
- Telephone on 9806 5050
- Facsimile on (02) 98065917
- Email on council@parracity.nsw.gov.au
- Letter to:
