Business Parking Scheme
Parking Permits for 2011/12 are now available from Council for eligible applicants. The permits are now valid for one year from the date of issue. A completed renewal application form and a current NSW Driver Licence with the resident’s name and address under which the permit was issued are required to renew the permit. Renew your permit now
Council has introduced a business parking permit scheme in Harris Park Town centre (AREA 01A only) to facilitate on-street parking for permanent operators and employees of businesses with zero off-street parking spaces.
A maximum of two business parking permits may be held for each business street number address or strata number address. Exemptions apply to premises that have Development Application approval prior to the Strata Schemes (Freehold Development) in 1973.
Cost of Parking Permits
A business parking permit costs $29.70 (based on 2011/2012 fees and charges schedule).
The fees payable for parking permits are set by Council. Refunds of any kind are not available once a permit has been issued.
Permit Validity
The permits are valid for one year from the date of issue and are to be renewed each year prior to the expiry date on the permit. Note that Parramatta City Council does not send out renewal letters. It is the responsibility of permit holders to renew permits annually.
How to obtain Parking Permits
Please read the conditions of use carefully before completing the application form.
Processing of the application generally takes five business days. The applicant will be notified by telephone or letter when the application has been processed and can be collected if approved.
