IBM’s Smarter City Initiative: Parramatta Innovation Discovery Workshop

IBM’s Smarter City Initiative: Parramatta Innovation Discovery Workshop

An exclusive 2-day workshop on our City’s future

Our vision is for Parramatta to be recognised as the driving force and heart of Australia’s most significant economic region; a vibrant home for diverse communities to prosper; and a centre for excellence in research, education and enterprise.

IBM’s Smarter Cities is a global initiative that brings together the best and brightest thinkers to create solutions for a smarter, sustainable planet – through smarter education, healthcare, water and energy use, public safety, transportation and smarter government.

Parramatta has successfully secured a place on the IBM Smarter Cities initiative with the hosting of an invitation-only Innovation Discovery Workshop.

Building on the outcomes of the ParraConnect and the 2010 Economic Development Forum, the two-day workshop will explore the key themes of Soft Infrastructure and Smarter Industry & Work. The goal will be to develop a roadmap for our City’s future economic prosperity through digital technology and social innovation.

It’s a must-attend event for those who have a stake in Parramatta’s future.

Date: 20 & 21 October 2011
Time: 9am-5pm (both days)
