Geographical Names Board approves advertised proposal to Suburb Change
The Geographical Names Board of NSW (GNB) approved two proposed changes to the Suburb Locality Boundaries between Merrylands/Guildford and Granville/South Granville
Council had requested the GNB to review the boundaries due to anomalies with some addresses based on the existing boundaries. These anomalies are based on half of the street exists is in a different suburb to the other side, which can caused confusion for residents, mail distribution, courier deliveries, and emergency services.
The changes were adopted upon publication in the NSW Government Gazette on 14 March 2008.
Council will be sending individual maps and letters to notify affected residents.
