Child Care Centres

Long Day Care

Parramatta City Council operates 5 Long Day Care Centres which provide quality all day care or part time care for children.  Long day care centres provide a program of care and educational activities for children from birth to school age. They are open for eleven hours per day, five days per week for 49 weeks per year.

Daily programs are provided to develop children's strengths, interests and needs and respect their cultural backgrounds. These programs encourage children to share and express ideas individually and to develop social skills.

Play equipment, activities and experences are provided to develop children’s physical skills, creativity and stimulate their development through activities such as games, stories, music, art and craft.

Health and Nutritious Meals and refreshments are provided for children during lunch, morning and afternoon tea times.

Council supports the provision of quality child care services and all centres are licenced and accredited with relevant authorities and meet all national and state standards.

Occasional Child Care

Occasional Care is centre based care that supports families by providing flexible care for families. Families can access occasional child care regularly on a sessional basis, or irregularly. Occasional care allows the flexibility to leave children for short periods of time in an early childhood learning environment to socialise and interact with other children.

• Westfields Occasional Care Centre
  The Westfield Occasional care centre is currently taking Bookings bookings for a minimum of 3 hours between 8.30am - 4.30pm.
  

Child Care Fees

Fees are adjusted annually, on the 1^st of July each year, according to Council Budget decisions. Currently the long day care fees are $62 per day and occasional care is $10 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours.

You may be eligible to receive a fee subsidy from the Commonwealth Government. All the centres are registered for Commonwealth Child Care Benefit (CCB).  Further information about this fee subsidy can be obtained from the Family Assistance Office on 13 61 50 or from your nearest Centrelink Office.
