The City of Parramatta lies 24 kilometres west of Sydney’s CBD at the heart of the Greater Sydney Metropolitan Region. Recognised as Sydney’s second CBD, Parramatta is also the sixth largest CBD in Australia and the economic capital of Western Sydney, Australia’s fastest growing region.

Parramatta City Council has a budget of $127 million and 700 staff who provide services to Parramatta’s 151,860 residents, and programs which help our city centre and culturally diverse neighbourhoods grow and become more attractive places.

Council is leading strategic planning for the sustainable growth of Parramatta over the next 20 years in partnership with the community and key stakeholders. We are at the leading edge of community engagement by local government, and use that feedback to drive continuous improvement in our programs and services
