Parramatta Development Control Plan (DCP)

The Parramatta DCP 2005 is the most recent planning instrument designed by Council to guide development approvals. DCPs outline detailed provisions and environmental standards on all facets of new development in the Parramatta Local Government Area (LGA). The provisions set out in the Plan are not legally binding; however they are seriously considered in the assessment of Development Applications.

All Development Applications submitted on or after 14 December 2005 are subject to Parramatta DCP 2005. Any Development Applications submitted before 14 December, 2005 will be considered under the previous Parramatta DCP 2001. The Parramatta DCP 2001 can also be viewed

The DCP 2005 is available free online below, or you can purchase a copy from Councils Offices at 30 Darcy Street, Parramatta, @ $12.50 for a CD-ROM version or $56.50 for a printed version. The DCP can also be viewed at Council libraries.
