Draft Parramatta Local Environmental Plan 2008
The draft Parramatta Local Environmental Plan 2008 (draft LEP 2008) was initially adopted by Council on 30th May 2007 to enable staff to commence the process of gaining approval from the State government to exhibit it.
Council subsequently considered further issues in relation to both the draft LEP 2008 and draft DCP 2008 at several later meetings. Links to the various Council minutes and the Council reports can be found here:

Draft LEP 2008 consists of a written document and maps. The draft maps included here on Council’s web site reflect the draft LEP maps that were adopted by Council on 30 May 2007. They do not incorporate the resolutions made subsequently by Council and should be viewed in conjunction with the various Council resolutions (see links above) which alter the proposed zonings and provisions within some areas. In particular, the draft proposed zoning map for certain areas were adopted at later Council Meetings, including:-

the Morton Street precinct in Parramatta can be found as an attachment 6 to Council’s report dated 23 July 2007.

The Carlingford precinct can be found as Attachment 2 to Council’s report dated 28 July 2008 (Item 7.1).

The East Rydalmere precinct can be found as Attachment 2 to Council’s report dated 28 July 2008 (Item 7.1).

At the time of updating of this web page, the proposed zoning of the Merrylands precinct was still under consideration.
In addition, please note, further changes are currently being made to the draft LEP 2008 before it is reported back to Council and the Department of Planning and the document and maps below should not be relied upon for the purpose of making decisions regarding property. It is highly recommended that you contact Council’s Land use and Transport Planning Unit on 9806 5634 should you require any clarification of the latest draft zoning for your property.

Council is currently refining Draft PLEP 2008 and preparing to seek approval from the State government to exhibit it. Some changes may be made to the Draft LEP before certification for the exhibition is granted, so the draft information above should not be relied upon for the purposes of decision-making. Council is also currently preparing the Draft Parramatta Development Control Plan 2008, which will contain the controls to support the standards in PLEP 2008.
