Parks & Reserves

The city provides around 300 beautiful and diverse parks and reserves for residents, visitors and workers to enjoy. These open spaces offer a variety of opportunities for active and passive recreational activities as well as interaction with local native flora and fauna. Many of our larger parks contain barbecue and picnic facilites, making them perfect for picnics with family and friends in picturesque settings. Playgrounds are also provided in more than 100 of our parks and reserves for children to enjoy, learn and interact. Council also understands the benefits and importance of providing opportunities for dogs to exercise off-leash, and has designated a number of dog off-leash parks and reserves.
