Parramatta LGA Demographics & Data

Council provides access to online resources showing characteristics such as population numbers, age and income of Parramatta's community in table, map and chart form. These are the Community Profile, Community Atlas and the Community Forecast. Council also provides downloads of Parramatta suburbs and Communities of Interest Profiles. All are useful for information to use for planning, grant and funding submissions and development for the Parramatta LGA.

The information provided is based on Australian Bureau of Statistics Census (ABS) data and is current to the last (2006) Census.

Parramatta Skills Audit

City of Parramatta Council is supporting TAFE WSI and the Western Sydney Business Connection (WSBC) to conduct an on-line survey to evaluate the skills gap in a local context. Lonergan Research has been commissioned to undertake this study.

With the recent changes to the Vocational Education Training (VET) system and the introduction of the Smart and Skilled Skills List by the NSW government in 2014 it has become imperative for businesses and education providers to develop an understanding of the current and future skills usage to ensure financial and business success in the coming years.
